CONCEPT / STORY

Cyber Ballet is an augmented reality sculpture reimagining classical ballet through a digital and cosmic lens.

A weightless ballerina performs in open space, surrounded by low-poly crystalline flowers and orbital forms, where fragile movement meets faceted geometry.

Cyber Ballet explores the tension between classical grace and digital abstraction.

The dancer exists in zero gravity, traced by invisible orbits rather than a physical stage. Low-poly flowers bloom like pixelated lilies on a dark digital surface, while angular geometry does not cancel tenderness it amplifies the fragility of motion.

The work translates the language of classical ballet into a contemporary visual system, where tradition passes through a digital prism and returns as light, rhythm, and form.

Artistic Intent

This project was created as an experiment in merging choreography, artificial intelligence, and digital sculpture.

The dancer’s movements are derived from classical ballet, referencing Swan Lake, and reinterpreted through AI-generated animation. Familiar gestures become abstracted, fragmented, and reassembled, preserving emotional expression while shifting the body into a post-digital state.

Cyber Ballet reflects on how cultural memory survives within emerging technologies.

AR EXPERIENCE
The sculpture appears in real space through a mobile device, allowing the viewer to experience the dancer as a spatial presence rather than a flat image.

The figure remains suspended in a continuous pose, inviting the audience to move around it, observe the balance of motion and stillness, and experience ballet as a sculptural form.

Context
Cyber Ballet continues my research into the body, movement, and identity within digital space, positioning AR as a medium capable of preserving cultural heritage while reshaping its form.
We are all born of stardust — and in the end, we return to it. We are all born of stardust — and in the end, we return to it. We are all born of stardust — and in the end, we return to it. We are all born of stardust — and in the end, we return to it. We are all born of stardust — and in the end, we return to it.
